Dennis, a helpless line cook who can’t master even the basics, hits rock bottom after being fired from his uncle’s greasy spoon. Humiliated by his failure to uphold a family legacy of celebrated chefs, he seizes one last chance at redemption: an open competition to bake the world’s greatest chocolate cake, presided over by the legendary Chef Baudelaire. The grand prize — a coveted role as Baudelaire’s sous chef — could change his life forever. As Dennis throws himself into the challenge with mind, body, and soul, the contest pushes him to the edge — forcing him to confront how much of himself he’s willing to give up in pursuit of greatness, and what it might cost to create something truly extraordinary.
